Batman and the Outsiders #5: Pages 19-20

Ladies and gentlemen, the new group of adversaries that make the Titans and Outsiders quake in fear (unlike the quickly forgotten mud men from the start of the issue)... The Office Workers!Wonder... how many fire axes are actually on each floor! Marvel... at their superior wielding of chair legs! Ask... if workman's comp covers brain damage caused by intra-office vacuums!
Kid-Flash should do this to every single office group in the Empire State Building... oh wait, what's this? How did THEY get inside?
Watch out for broken glass, I guess. And now some Bat-douchery:
After Wally has shown such skill at handling crowd control, I'm surprised he's not part of the 3-person "half" that will keep on doing that. No, instead he picks some girls out of a hat. Sexist? Stupid? Doesn't want anyone distracted by Starfire's bathing suit? Halo has finally gotten on his nerves? Whatever it is, it's bad HeroClix, and Robin calls him on it.
Touché, touché and touchhhhhé! What can Batman say after that? Not much. Just let the kid run with it so you can tell him later it was all a test.
Well, Robin still puts three girls on the defense team, like the super-strong she-warrior Wonder Girl and the girl with a bladed weapon Katana, but also keeps Kid-Flash where he's a proven value. Raven's, you know, an empath, they never do anything offensive (see Star Trek The Next Generation for supporting evidence). And Changeling because, well, he's annoying (every team has a Halo). Oh no! They're importing axes from other floors!
The superheroes, despite all their powers, still fear the Office Workers. It's going well... BUT FOR HOW LONG? It sure doesn't look like they're at a disadvantage, Katana... FOR NOW!
But how many eyes must Raven poke out before it's all over?

Meanwhile, back in the staircase, the slightly larger half of our heroes has Batman back in the lead. "PLUG IT, HALO!" (Or am I reading between the lines badly?)
Speaking of poor math skills...
The three guys calling themselves the Fearsome Five think 9 superheroes can't get past them? I bet they're out in less than 2 pages. Stay tuned.

I wonder if Kid Flash is running over his hand and knees, becouse hs trail looks very thin!

I must say I liked seeing Robin taking charge. It's a clear "pro Nightwing" moment. No more Bikini boy! No more shaving your legs!

Every Aparo comic I've read (even those done during Knightfall) have a strong 40/40s flavour.

PD: thanks for the Doctor Who info!

KF knows better than to hide the action.

Yeah Robin's totally badass. Too bad this is a Batman book!

Aparo definitely brings that look, so of course, I must poke fun at it.

And no problem with DW info. I do that a lot in real life as well!

Yeah, I have to question both Batman and Robin's tactical skills when they both put the person whose entire schtick is having a big sword on the defensive team.
