Reign of the Supermen #83: Fritz Lang's Super-Man

Source: Superman's Metropolis (1997)
Type: ElseworldsI'm surprised given the name of Fritz Lang's film and Superman's home town, they didn't think of this story sooner. It's an interesting one too, with a privileged Clarc-Kent landing in among the worker class below in the city. There he learns about social inequity from a woman called Lois. His father Jon-Kent won't hear of improving the conditions in the underbelly though, but that's because he's the mind-thrall of scientist Lutor. Lutor captures Lois and makes a robot duplicate of her called Futura that leads the workers to ruin. Clarc finds out he was actually a space-baby adopted by the Kents, but his powers have been suppressed by Lutor's science. He unlocks them and becomes Metropolis' savior, defeating both Futura and Lutor and along with Lois, becoming the benevolent ruler of the expansive city.

Three other stories Superman should naturally tap into
The story of Moses: Rocket from Krypton/Basket down the Nile, it's the same thing really
The Little Mermaid: Isn't it about time we got the definitive Lori Lemaris story?
Citizen Kane: Rosebud is the rocket!
