Reign of the Supermen #549: Superman of Earth-44

Source: 1st appearance - Infinite Crisis - Fight for the Multiverse #10 (2014)
Type: Alternate Earth (non-canon)
Not to be confused with the canonical Earth-44 in which Superman is a member of the Metal Men, the computer game's Earth-44 Superman, as presented in the digital-only comic of the same name, is a member of the Justice Consortium, a team of badass anime robots who defend a super-technological Earth from such threats as a kaiju-sized Doomsday.
Thankfully, when Superman gets smushed, he can reboot or transfer his back-up consciousness to another body. It's video game logic, but it makes sense in this case. K.A.L. becomes a member of the Multiversal team that makes its way through the series fighting things. I haven't looked into it much.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM THE GAME ITSELF (my thanks to Sam Lowe): K.A.L. was a Kryptonian science probe found by Clark Kent, who befriended him. They played the game "Superman", where Clark was Superman while K.A.L. played Metallo. Clark was later killed by a drunk driver, his death inspiring K.A.L. to become Superman.

It's comic-book logic, too, since that's a big part of NoMan's deal in THUNDER Agents.

Edited to add: First time I've seen this particular Superman, but I kind of like it. Looks like it would make a neat action figure.
